I just started reading his book My Life as a Quant. Interesting to read his experiences at Bell Labs at the start of the whole Unix/C movement in the late 1970's.
I will definitely have some more comments as I read through the book.

I also just picked up the book and noticed his blog, looks to be a good read. I also have the Wall Street Face of Poker, but it was a bit over my head mathematically. I do not claim to be a Quant or Algorithmic Programmer, I just speak with them daily…
